Westinghouse Lighting Solutions Offers an Alternative to Standard Facility Lighting Philadelphia, PA — Westinghouse Lighting Solutions offers industrial fluorescent lighting fixtures that provide substantial energy reductions — up to 75% in case studies - without compromising light output. Westinghouse's latest lighting retrofit for a national beverage manufacturer resulted in approximately $125,000 in annual cost savings through a 60% reduction in energy use. By replacing the manufacturer's existing metal halide and T12 fluorescent fixtures with Westinghouse's T5 high output (HO) fluorescent system, the 24/7 business operation also improved its light levels. Westinghouse fixtures reduce overhead costs and yield a return on investment in two years or less in typical industrial applications. The Westinghouse industrial fluorescent fixture product line consists of over 50 configurations utilizing precision formed, customized reflector designs that provide the maximum output possible. Focusing light only where it is needed, the proprietary "one bounce and out" reflector allows for a lighting system specifically designed for racked aisles, open spaces, and production areas. Westinghouse Lighting Solutions fixtures use T5HO lamps, a high lumen fluorescent lamp that maintains up to 95% of lumen output over its 35,000 hour rated life versus the 33% loss of light at just 8,000 hours for HID metal halide lamps. Compared to other fluorescent fixtures, the WLS fixtures can use up to 50% less energy while maintaining the same light levels or they provide the same wattage and double the amount of light. Westinghouse Lighting Solutions offers a fully assembled, lightweight aluminum body lighting fixture with a "no tools required," easy-access ballast design. By selecting either a Universal Voltage or 347-480V ballast, current units can be installed in a one-for-one replacement for metal halides or T12 fluorescent systems. The fixtures are UL/CUL listed and tested by independent labs to verify output and efficiency.
